Harry & His Bucket full of Dinosaurs
Inspired by creative play, Harry & his Bucket full of Dinosaurs builds on the love all preschoolers have of pretending their toys can come to life.
Harry is 5-years old, and by the power of his imagination his six toy dinosaurs, Taury, Trike, Pterence, Sid, Patsy and Steggy, are as real to him as the blue bucket he carries them in. With a ‘one-two-three’ Harry jumps into his bucket into Dino World, where his toys become full-sized dinosaur playmates, ready for adventure.
Dino World’s fantasy landscape is imaginatively shaped from the random objects of a child’s experience and the contents of a toy box. The sun and the moon are drawn and stuck to the sky with tape, mountains are made from pillows and a soda fountain valley exists alongside lollipop trees. It’s a world where anything can happen…
Harry jumps into his bucket to escape from things he doesn’t want to do, like going to the dentist, or to do things he isn’t allowed to do at home, like stay up all night. Sometimes he jumps in just because it’s fun! Whatever the reason, by the time Harry jumps out again, he’s is a little bit wiser about the real world.
